I tried many different ways to record over the years.  I used to record on my phone then later I bought a small recorder.  Of course, because he searched through my bag he found it.  But I felt it was important to capture it because I felt no one would believe me otherwise.  I knew that people thought Wael was just such a great guy and I wanted to show what he was like to me in private.  I started late but I have a collection of recordings that do capture the coldness of his treatment toward me and his harsh words and deflections and projections.  Every time I listen to them I cry and shake as if I am right back in the moment again.
