classic projection

Wael once told me that he did not believe a word I said because "I lie all the time and every word out of my mouth was a lie."
Of course I wasted hours of my time and became frantic and hysterical defending myself against this accusation.  
Little did I know it was a projection.
He was the liar.  He was the one making false promises.
